Agent Status Listed as Unknown

MOM keeps track of its installed Agents and reports their status.

If you view the status of a Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) agent, and the status of the agent is 'Unknown' if the Agent's heartbeat was missed. MOM marks the status of an agent as 'Unknown' if the interval between heartbeats from the agent computer is more than 10 minutes.

If you face this issue, there's a good chance that the services are not running, or that the computer with the agent installed has dropped from the network.

Make sure that the OnePoint service is running on the agent computer and that the agent is currently on the network.
