When deploying Windows XP Service Pack 2, you may find certain web sites that are used every day (e.g. WebMail) require legitimate pop-ups. By entering the following registry values, pop-ups will be automatically allowed from the site(s) specified.

To allow pop-ups from all https sites:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\New Windows]
"AllowHTTPS"=dword:00000001

To allow pop-ups from a specific web site for a specific user:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\New Windows\Allow]
"myitforum.techtarget.com"=hex:

To allow pop-ups from a specific web site for ALL USERS:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\New Windows\Allow]
"myitforum.techtarget.com"=hex:

Just be sure to remove "http://" or "https://" from the address. For example "http://myitforum.techtarget.com" would be "myitforum.techtarget.com", and "http://www.yahoo.com" would be "www.yahoo.com".
