The Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) version 2.0 is used to transfer files by new versions of Microsoft Windows Update, the Automatic Update service, and other programs. BITS 2.0 is used together with new updates for Microsoft Windows HTTP Services (WinHTTP) 5.1.
