Q: Does you know if hotfixes can be downloaded from Microsoft, without using windows update or SUS?

A: You can download the HotFixes via the Windows Update Catalog, TechNet/Security Bulletin Search, and also the Microsoft Download Site.

Windows Update Catalog

Use these steps to add a Windows Update Catalog link to your Windows Update page. This gives you quick access to manually download updates from the Windows Catalog.

  1. Visit the Windows Update Web site:
    http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

  2. Click Personalize Windows Update.

  3. Click to select the Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog under See Also check box.

  4. Click Save Settings.
