Translation Services Plug-In for SMS2003 and ConfigMgr 2007
is an extension for SMS2003 that offers rule based data
integration and mapping with other business information data pools such as the
WEB, LDAP, ODBC, and Independent Data sources.
DTS allows you to easily bring enterprise data together to extend your knowledge
and business decisions through reporting beyond the standard SMS2003 Inventory.
Out of the box you can immediately extend the capabilities of SMS2003 with the
DTS rules for LDAP and WEB import providing simple cost effective data
integration.
DTS will automate reaching out to a OEM system manufacturer web site to provide
you with the original system build lists, purchasing, and warranty information.
DTS will import and map key attributes from LDAP (Active Directory) to provide
you extended Intel within SMS2003 on managed resources for business decisions.
DTS is not just about importing. It empowers you to connect and map existing
SMS2003 inventory data TO other business resources.
**Coming Soon** Barcoding for DTS for SMS2003. This
will allow you to create and publish barcode forms from within SMS2003.
With these forms you can now utilize a barcode scanner to track your assets from
the receiving dock on throughout the physical lifecycle status changes within
