Merry Christmas and Thankyou for Your Support in 2006

2006 has been a very busy year for me personally with my workload going through the roof which has unfortunately not allowed me to spend as much time recently as I would like to doing what I feel passionate about - contributing to the Systems Management Community at large. But fingers crossed I can see light at the end of the tunnel (hopefully it's not a train), and things might get back to some sort of normality.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you being part of a genuine, caring, passionate community that all help each other out to make all of our lives easier. I would like to thank everyone for all your help and support during 2006 and I hope FAQShop has and will continue to be of use to you guys.

All that's left is for me is to wish you and your loved one's a Very Merry Christmas and all the Very Best for 2007.

Be safe,
Cliff

New Articles on FAQShop 21/12/06

Admittedly it's been a while since I've managed to update FAQShop but hopefully I should be able to start getting things back on track and start making regular updates. Here's a couple of new articles for today:

SMS 2003
"The file you have selected is an invalid Package Definition File. Please select a valid file."
Contributed By: Cliff Hobbs [MVP SMS]
Wondering why you're seeing this error when you try to import a Package Definition File (.pdf), using the Create Package from Definition Wizard?..

Misc
"How to View Temporary Files in IE 7"
Contributed By: Eric Rayburn
If you need to go trawling through these files the first thing you've got to do is to be able to see them, which thanks to the new security features in IE 7 can be a bit tricky.  However, there are a couple of ways round this as Eric explains...

MMS 2007 Registration Open

Blimey is it that time of year again? No not Xmas but time to register for the Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) 2007.

For those of you that haven't been to MMS before, it's 4 days packed chocka of information relating to Microsoft Systems Management technologies. Forget TechEd, ITForum, etc. If Systems Management is your game attending MMS should be your aim (and yes I've been before and can't recommend it highly enough).

With major releases of MOM, SMS and WSUS next year (probably all of which will be covered at MMS), get ahead of the field.
