Job Responsibility: This is a Level 2 Messaging and Active Directory support and administration role. Position involves Monitoring, Operations, Incident and Problem Management. You will be working with large teams in a challenging and growing environment. This is a short term assignment (30-60 days) to help our client support the migration of MS Exchange environment to India.
Travel to Chennai, India will be required.
Assist in migrations of Exchange infrastructure from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 & 2007
Configure and manage Active Directory 2003
Perform upgrade of Active Directory environment and apply change management process
Manage the system properties, system policies and services on Active Directory top level domain structure and delegate control/administration on Active Directory lower level domain structure
Manage schema updates
Configure and manage the directory replication service
Manage active roles (FSMO roles)
Support SMTP and POP3
Deploy MS security hotfixes
Manage Group Policy Objects (GPO)
Desired Profile:
At least 4 years of working experience on MS Exchange - using 5.5, 2000 and 2003. Experience supporting large scale MS exchange environments (>10-20K mailboxes) is required.
4+ years working experience with Windows 2000 and 2003
Extensive knowledge of Active Directory
HP hardware/storage knowledge
Understanding and support experience of SMTP and POP3
Knowledge of MS LCS and Blackberry will be an added advantage
Excellent customer handling and presentation skills
Excellent Analytical, troubleshooting and Documentation skills
Degree in computer engineering or related discipline
