2010 Camaro
I have been very quite about the "official" news about the Camaro beginning production February 16, 2009.
However that does not mean that I am not excited about it.
If you have followed my blog any you surely know that I am a HUGE Camaro fan, as my prior posts show.
I have posted many pictures of various "un-official" pictures of various concept Camaros on my bog and many have gotten a huge number of replies. My favorite one being:
However, since the release of the "official" concept car from GM, shown here:
I have been extremely excited. I love the look of this car way more than I do any of the "other" designs I have seen.
The car is just simply amazing looking. After reading all the official information on www.chevy.com/camaro about the Camaro and what options will be included and how much horsepower the various options will have...I am even more excited.
I have been stating that I will order one as soon as they come available for order, however...I'm a bit torn now.
GM said they will not have the Heads-up display until 12/09...so if I really want that, then I will have to wait until then. OUCH!
GM also has stated that the White version will not be available until 7/09...so again, I might have to wait. Even though I really like the Gray and Silver versions of the car.
GM has also stated that the Z28 will not be available yet and have not stated if or when it will be available. I would really love to have a Z28 but it is not a deal breaker for me because the SS will have plenty of power (422 HP is what is advertised right now as the highest HP available motor).
GM has also stated they will offer a "Bumble Bee" package which I might wait for as well, because that car was awesome looking in the move Transformers.
I'm not sure what I want to get...Other than knowing I want a new Camaro...
Oh, I do love this one that I found on the Internet as well...it's a Photoshopped version with a different front end on it. This is based on the version of Bumblebee that is rumored to be in the Transformers 2 Movie.
Any way it goes, hopefully sometime next year I will be driving around in a new 2010 Camaro!
A little information about my love for Camaros. I have NEVER not owned a Camaro.
Since I was 16, when I bought my first Camaro...I have never looked back. I have owned a 1982 Camaro Z28 (Gold), 1986 Camaro Z28 (White), 1989 Camaro IROC-Z (Maroon) and my current daily driver 1994 Camaro Z28 (White with Black strips)
I also have a 1967 Camaro SS 350 that I am restoring and just about ready to start driving it. I have replace everything from the doors forward on the car and have it about 90% put back together. I have not gotten it painted yet, due to saving for the new Camaro...and I am fine with driving a car around in primer for a year or so.
So, what's your thoughts on the new Camaro, do you like it?
Which color do you like the best?
