  • Counting the days until my New Every Two

August 3rd is my date for swapping my Verizon phone with a new one. I’ve been pretty happy with my Samsung sch-i730 . The only problem I have with it, is that its still too big for a phone. And, before anyone says anything — Verizon is the *only* service that works effectively in my area...

  • Motorola Q for my son's birthday

Well, as much as I’ve slammed the Motorola Q because of it’s lack of the ability for on-screen writing in a Windows Mobile device, it appears it makes a perfect gift for an aspiring teenager. Alex’s 16th birthday was yesterday and we gave him the choice of a cell phone upgrade. He chose...

  • Back to coaching

I just finished up my first coaches meeting for summer soccer. I'm coaching my youngest's soccer team this summer. It's great to get back to coaching. But, of course, basketball coaching is my first love. That doesn't start up for another couple months. I can't believe how quickly this summer has gone...

  • Giving the Redfly a good test this weekend

We’re off to OSU this weekend to watch Alex run in the state finals .  So, I’ve decided to put the Redfly through it’s paces while we’re away. Really, the Redfly is only as good as your Smartphone, I’m finding.  I have an older Motorola Q from Verizon and I believe I may need to upgrade the...

  • Windows Mobile: I'm learning Chinese

I've always wanted to do this. H&H Software makes it easy. You can look up any word or phrase, see how it's pronounced, find how it's written , and even hear it - all on a Windows Mobile device! http://www.hnhsoft.com/

  • Well, Verizon did the job

My Verizon, Windows Mobile phone did the job winding through the back roads of Kentucky. I see now that Verizon will work well there, giving me access to email (which is critical).

  • Just got off the phone with the WSJ...

Pretty cool. The Wall Street Journal should have an article upcoming that talks about AV on cell phones and Windows Mobile devices.
