Hello,
While rolling out a Servivce Pack I am getting the following error message...
10 PC's are in the collection, 7 of them installed ok, but 3 causing problems. Any Ideas??

The program for advertisement "00120271" failed ("00100151" - "Office 2007 SP1"). A failure exit code of 17025 was returned.
User context: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Possible cause: Systems Management Server (SMS) determines status for each program it executes. If SMS cannot find or correlate any installation status Management Information Format (MIF) files for the program, it uses the program's exit code to determine status. An exit code of 17025 is considered a failure.
Solution: For more information on the exit code, refer to the documentation for the program you are distributing.

From this post (http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2502127&SiteID=17) it looks like there should be an Office 2007 setup log located C:\Documents and Settings\[Login Name]\Local Settings\Temp

See if there's anything worth while there. Otherwise you might need to rework the setup program to output to a log file and see what's happening.

Hi,
I have the same problems, did you solved it?
BTW I found that on PC where I'm getting the error the SP1 in installed.
I don't know if SP1 was previously installed by user or preinstalled (maybe the PC is a new and it was preinstalled with SP1 already included in Office 2007). But I can confirm that the SP1 is installed.
Maybe the error "A failure exit code of 17025 was returned" is caused by the fact that SP1 is already installed?
