It looks like June's Patch Release is going to be slight bigger than previous months. Microsoft have announced today that they are planning to release 7 updates as part this month's "Patch Tuesday" and they cover a range of different components. Critical: 1 x Affecting Bluetooth 1 x Affecting Internet Explorer 1 x Affecting Direct X Important: 1 x Affecting WINS 1 x Affecting Active Directory 1 x Affecting PGM Moderate: 1 x Kill Bit Update You can read more about these and which operating systems they affect on the advance notice page below. Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms08-jun.mspx If like me you were wondering what PGM is, a quick search on MS website shows its Reliable Multicast Programming (PGM) Quote: PGM is a reliable and scalable multicast protocol that enables receivers to detect loss, request retransmission of lost data, or notify an application of unrecoverable loss. Reliable multicast is implemented through Windows Sockets in Windows Server 2003 and later. Windows XP: PGM is only supported when Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) 3.0 is installed.
