Hello. I am experiencing a possible issue with bare metal builds.

I have a system that had a piece of software earllier. I removed the software from the system and performed a bare metal build. When I checked the system after the build, I found the software installed. I am confused on how it is getting on the system.

I see the below in the OSDlogs.

Updating OSD Shared memory with PACKAGES4=SM100010-Quiet Install ZeroTouchInstallation.vbs

About to issue SQL statement: SELECT * FROM v_Program WHERE PACKAGEID = 'SM100010' AND PROGRAMNAME = 'Quiet Install' ZeroTouchInstallation.vbs

What are you using? Pure BDD? MDT? SMS 2003? SCCM?

Off hand it sounds like that package is configured in one of the Roles that's attached to the machine...

Thank you for the response.

I am using SMS 2003 with BDD 2005. How do I check to see if the package is configured in the matter you described?

Hmm I don't use BDD 2005 (just 2007 and newer). Since I know that it's different than the newer stuff, I think you're going to have to hope that someone else chimes in here...

You either have a role that installs that application, or you have dynamic application deployment based off inventory configured.

Can you post your customsettings.ini? I can pinpoint it from there.
