Status: offline 		Has anyone experienced issues with SMS advertisements after patching their SMS based Windows 2003 servers with the April/May critical updates? I'm trying to narrow down what appears to be an issue with Mandatory advertisements failing to run. They're received by the client but nothing actually runs and no errors are recorded, at least I can't find anything in either the server or client logs indicating an issue.

HELP!

Status: offline 		The install is waiting on a dependancy.  How do you have the advertisement/package configured (run when user is logged on or user is logged off)?  Is the package chained or dependant on another app finishing first?

The advertisement calls an initial package which in turn has a chain and is configured to "run at logon". I believe you're referring to this:

Status: offline 		GAH! I found the issue! "Disable this program on computers where it was advertised" was checked in one of the programs in the chain. I'll have to test but this is likely it.
