I am looking for basic troubleshooting when some clients receive all the latest security patches and some clients do not?

Our environment is using the Inventory Tool for Microsoft Updates and the scans are being performed every month. Most of the problems are occuring with Server class PC's. I have reinstalled the client and in most cases this doesn't have impact the following month. Is there a log file, I can use on the client or SMS server that can assist? Is there a standard flowchart?

What version of ITMU do you have installed? What is the WUA version on your clients? Are there any errors in the client log file ScanWrapper.log?

Here is a link to the TS flowchart for the old SUS scan tool, but as I looked at it, it seems accurate to ITMU as well. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc180180.aspx
