I've got a serious problem with some of my applications to deploy. The switches I use are "setup.exe /S" but that does not seems to affect anything in SCCM

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68000.html

Can someone tell me why

Are you deploying using User or Admin Context?

I did a start -> run -> ....\setup.exe /S and it installed very good. I saw a screen and he did everything unattended but with SCCM I don't see any screen at all so I can't see if it installs correctly. When I want to execute it after a SCCM install (with FN+F5) I don't see anything.

That does not install under the "local system" account. You need to do Schedule a Command prompt and do the install from there. from a cmd.exe type the following (just tiem time as needed)

At 13:57 /INTERACTIVE cmd.exe

Wait for the new commend prompt window to open and run your setup from there.

is that a solution for 1000 machines? Waiting at a certain time and write a command because in SCCM when I push F8 I get immediately a command prompt box.

What I did was running a simple vbs that executes this "cmd.exe setup.exe /S" but it didn't worked

No that is to find out if there is a issue with the setup program.Once that is determine you can move forward.

Ok then, I will try this tomorrow to see if it installs as you say

Can you schedule a specific program at certain time in sccm? (task sequence)

We are only doing this is only to troubleshot the setup program. So you don't need the task sequencer at all, right now.

Sorry, didn't notice this thread until just now.  If memory serves, the Lenovo hotkey install would not, absolutely would not, install unless we checked on the 'allow user interaction'.  We simply could not make that thing completely silent.  There was something in the installation code that required interaction with the GUI.  The end user didn't have to do anything, but we couldn't prevent them from seeing the install.  Coming from an environment where we tried not to bother the user with little details like software installation :-), we tried hard to hide that--simply couldn't do it.

It's been a while, so I don't remember if it had to run in user context as well.  I don't think so; but it definitely needed to be visible.

That's an option that I didn't use. The OSD is running actually with that option enabled. Am curious to see the results  I hope it will successfull

To hide it from the user can't you just use the option 'hidden' shown as below;

I hope it will work with "hotkey driver v2.08.2008"

EDIT1: I don't understand now. I've got no program to choose in my task sequence. Very weird because I created the program and it's updated on all DP's

What I meant (using your screenshot) is under the Environment tab; check on that box to allow user interaction.  As to why it isn't listed in task sequence, it *has* to be 'whether or not user logged in', run in admin context.  And that checkbox about 'allow to run without an advert' (I forget what it actually says) needs to be checked on.  I think those are the main things.

That's what I got now with the above screen:

But when I go to my task sequence editor it shows the hotkey task in red. I can't close it so I have to choose the next tab and "disable this step"

When I had tested this, it was under SMS2003, and Task Sequences simply were not available.  In Task Sequences, I believe *requiring* user interaction (like we've done) invalidates using the action in a TS.  It's a catch-22 thing.  I suggest contact Lenovo and see if they have a method for silently installing the hotkey utility when no user is logged in.  It can't be the first request for this--so hopefully it's readily available.
