Status: offline 		Is it possible to delay the reboot after installation of a patch say for about 15 mins????
My requirement is, after deploying of patches we need to give an option to the enduser to delay the reboot for 15 mins. And after 15 mins it should automatically or forcibly reboot the system. This scenario is required when there is a critical patch deployment and it requires a reboot.
We have a option of 5 mins in SMS 2003 i guess... Can we increase this time period???

Status: offline 		How are you deploying the Patches? SMS's ITMU? or a regular package created by you?

Very awesome! This switch sets the number of minutes for the countdown before and after the install. If you take the default, 5 minutes before the start of the installation you will see the countdown and after the installation the countdown will also be 5 minutes. The numeric value determines both countdowns. You can set this option from 0 – 99 minutes where 0 is immediate.

I thought this switch will help to increase  the time period but unfortunately it is not working. I increased the time to /c:15 .. but still the system restarts after 5 mins...

Status: offline 		Just curious if inside the package -> Program if you still selected SMS restarts computer in the After Running: section.  If so then I believe SMS will restart the computer in 5 Minutes. To change this default setting from 5 to 15 or whatever can be tricky and Microsoft does not support it??
