Has anyone else experienced this? I have one app (Timberline accounting - anyone know how to deploy or package this horrendous installation?) that needs to be clicked through to install some prerequisites and complete it's setup. At various points throughout the installation it appears to be hung (I've left it overnight even.) To continue, I need to focus, i.e. click the LTI Installation Progress window and things then move forward. This also happens during the sysprep. anyone else see this?

So just to clarify, you need to click the actual "Installation Progress" window in order for the the application to install? Never heard that before.

Also, what kind of prerequisites are required? Would a Sendkeys script work?

sendkeys is hard to time as you can't easily detect when the window is available to send key to.

grab autoit. it can actually hunt for windows by name or GUID and you can use it to sendkeys.

Theres a few apps out there like this, i dealt with one at my last job.

Yes i have this same problem (there's a link below in this same forum about "strange behavior").

My OSD installation ALWAYS hangs on formatting and partitioning disk. Click the task windows and it continues on. I also have a problem with sysprep in the same way- it will take an extraordinarily long time sometimes and simply clicking on the sysprep is working window will cause it to continue.

How do you insert AutoIt scripts into the task sequence for OSD? been trying to figure that one out lately...

My LTI does this with my install of Oracle J-Initiator. I have to click on the OSD window to continue. The installer works silently when run from Windows XP. There are no windows on the screen (other than the OSD progress window)

I haven't looked into this much since I only use LTI to build my base image. I would like to fix it though if someone finds a solution, or has an idea.

Hi
It seems that this kind of behaviour can happen when memory is low.
might this be the case ? (do you have more than 512 mb? )
