Dear All,

My Client push installation is failing on all the clients under my primary site server.
The clients appear as assigned=yes in 'All Systems' and AD System Discovery and System group discovery are enabled on the primary site server.

The SMSprov.log file has the following entries for all the attempts.

The query returns empty result for Resource
ID [5571]. Possible Cause: The resourceid may not reference a valid system

resource; the system resource may not be assigned to current site.

E:\TOPAZ\sdk_provider\nt\smsprov\SspCollection.cpp(1092) : No suitable

system resource was found to install client.

No Suitable system resource was found to install client.

Any help is greatly appreciated. What am i missing here?

Thanks,
Nathan

The CCM.LOG file remains untouched as no CCR is created because of the error messages, mentioned in the first post, in the SMSPROV.lOG file.

Do you have any Client Connection accounts defined?

Yes, I have restarted all the SMS services on the primary site server.
Yes the resource is getting assigned a resourceID.
Yes, i do have a client push installation account defined, if that is what you meant. Other than that there are no other client connection accounts defined. Arent 'Client Connection' accounts required only for legacy clients?

Thank you again for helping me through this.

Yeah one more important note :: the CCR is getting created successfully if i uncheck "Include only clients assigned to this site". But i do not want to uncheck this option as the clients appear as 'Assigned=Yes' in the collection.

You should have an advanced client network connection account assigned, but that likely doesn't have anything to do with this issue.  If you recheck the box, does the problem return?  Unchecking the box will attempt to install the client on all systems in the collection, even if they are not assigned.  Doing this will install the client, but the client will not activate until its assigned to the site.  I do recall a problem like this that someone else has had.  Let me do some digging and see if I can find it.

I will check to see how it behaves if i recheck the box.
But on the ones that i initiated the install with the "include clients only assigned to this site" as unchecked, those clients installed OK and are reporting to the correct site (the initiating site) with all features working seamlessly.
