Hi - Im trying to install a client on a w2k3 server which did have an MP on it many months ago (from another older site). The client now wont install and says:
"MSI: An older version of the SMS Management Point is installed. Please upgrade the Management Point before attempting to upgrade the client." This is in the ccmsetup log. Ive tried making it an MP ( which I dont want) and removing it - no go - tried installing while it is an MP - nothing doing. Ive also ran ccmclean fro sms2003 days - still no go. Anybody any ideas?
(Currently using sccm 2007 R2).

Thanks

Kim

Try cleaning up the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS.
