Hi

Can someone help me to find the DNS Suffix order from the client machines through SMS Server 2003?

I found this script to hopefully accomplish your task. Follow the link then scroll down to SMS downloads it should be the third selection. The zip file contains a readme that explains how to use the script.

I too found this script. But im not sure how to implement. If you know how to implement, Can you tell me the Step by step procedure.

It's in the network adapter configuration data view called V_GS_Network_Adaptr_Configur in the field called DNSServerSearchOrder0.

So, from a web report or from SQL Management studio (this is SQL code, not WQL for a collection/SMS query)

SELECT
*
FROM
dbo.v_GS_Network_Adapter_Configur

I'm honestly not sure why that script would be needed...I mean, SMS already collects that information...unless it's turned off in the SMS_DEF.mof (WIN32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration section)

Thanks Nelson... It's works perfectly... I enabled the DNSSuffixOrder Value on the SMS_def.mof
