Configure AD System Group discovery.  After a cycle has run and you have data collected you can create queries and collections from that data.  You can create a query using the System Resource class and the System Group Name attribute.  There may be a tutorial or article on MyITForum, but here's another one I've seen: http://spa.its.uiowa.edu/ecm/imaging/SMS/tutorials/collection.htm

dstein,
Ive tried system group name & system container name but no values exist. if I do AD site I get my 3 AD sites listed.

My machines currently reside in Root/Workstations/<Site>

SCCm AD discovery for each site is set to the site container as above. I want to do a collection based on the site OU's.

Check the computer records to see if you see the OUs listed.  Right click on the computer, Properties, look at the very bottom of the list.  Run a HW inventory to update the record if needed.

If you have no OUs...then perhaps AD System Group Discovery isn't configured, or isn't configured properly...do you have it set to the root LDAP object and set to recursive so it enumerates all records from the top down?  If you're manually configured to go to a specific OU or if you're not using recursive, it may not be pulling all the devices you're expecting to see there.

Did you run a HW inventory and wait to see if it updated?
