Hi Everyone,

I am trying to setup a command line notification to write to a log file (just like the examples on everyone's blogs) and I have a few questions.

1.  Does it run on the root server, connection managment server or agent side? My guess is root server.
2.  When you setup the Recipient Notification Device, what do you put in the Delivery address?

Thanks in advance.

Hi John,

Sorry for the late reply But I will answer this anyway just in case anone else reads it.

1. The command notification script will run from the RMS server .
2. You don't have to put anything in the Delivery Address. This is just a variable that you can pass to your script when it executes. For example if you were paging a pager using your script you would put the pager number in here. This way multiple people could use a common script. It is not required.
