Yes, you can it is a manual process.  I do have a tool that I created if you would like to try it in your test enviroment first.  It is a c# app that looks at the control file and pulls in your Ldap query.  It then contacts your AD and pulls in the structure.  You click the checkboxes of the OUs you want and then it will create all the collections and queries.  I don't have it set to create the user OU folders yet.  Would you like to give it a try?

If you create a new collection and in your query include a query criteria from System Resource where "System OU Name" = "Your OU Name".  You can do that for each one of your OUs.  If you have a lot of OUs, then a script like Hudson mentioned  may be the way to go.

I would be glad  :) to give my program to anyone that wants to test it.  Be aware that I only made it about 2 weeks ago so it is very very much a beta with some problems noted.   Send me a PM and I will email you the app.  It is a C# app that is only 300kb or so.

If you know VBScript, you might be able to code the collections yourself. Take a look at the article here: http://www.myitforum.com/articles/11/view.asp?id=11653 for some sample code....

I received the application from Mathew Hudson. Configured the config file and ran it, Applications works like charm. Its pull all data from Active directory through LDAP. I created all collections based on my OU structure within active directory. From computer ou's to user's ou and Domain controller's ou. Great app.
