Hi, I am adding some McAfee extensions to the DEF.MOF and Configuration.MOF and am not able to include registry entries that have spaces in the name.

I have tried using the " " around the name etc and this does not work.

If I leave the spaces in the names I cannot compile the MOF files. If I remark them out it compiles and inventory runs correctly.

This is a line that I am trying to add in the MOF:
[PropertyContext("local|HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Network Associates\\TVD\\Shared Components\\Framework|Installed Path"),Dynamic,Provider("RegPropProv")] Installed Path;

Any ideas as to how I go about keeping these entries in the MOF files and reporting on the information that I need?

Just change your label.  That bit at the end is the part that doesn't like the space.  And that's easy enough to change in reports to have a space if it bothers your aesthetic sensibilities!  Like this:
[PropertyContext("local|HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Network Associates\\TVD\\Shared Components\\Framework|Installed Path"),Dynamic,Provider("RegPropProv")] InstalledPath;

Remember to change the Reporting section for sms_def.mof to also not have the space!

fyi, on www.sccmexpert.com, they have recently posted an update to the Individual MOF collection which was originally for SMS2003.  They've been updated to be ConfigMgr - friendly.  Go there, click on "The Mof", Mof Tools, then "Get the Scripts" (note; you may have to sign up on their web site--but it's quick & free).  Then grab "ConfigMgr MOF Snippets".  Although that particular value (installed path for McAfee AV 4.5) isn't in that mof snippet.
