If i wanted to run this environment what would it take DPM Server wise. all i need to know is how many Primary servers with Secondary servers behind them. don't need to know about storage or anything.

File Sources – 100+
Exchange – 15+ storage groups
SQL – 90+
VM – 30+
Hyper V – 50+

and how would you split it up?

I can let you know that in our environment we have a single DPM server using IScsi. It backs up

30 VM's
0 Hyper-V, you have to wait for SP1
20 SQL DB's
15 Storage Groups

It backs all of this up in very little time. Gotta love VSS.

We also hav a backup DPM across a WAN that bacs up all the VM's as well as 25 file servers.
