Hey people

ok, I have MDT 2008 and it works great with other Laptops and desktops but we just got in a Dell Optiplex 960 and no mather what I try WinPE will not boot up with a Nic installed.

its a Intel(R) 82567LM-3 driver. I used the one from Dell and the one from Intelxp and vista but no luck. I can with a USB pin drvload the driver into winPE manually but it will not load by it self with putting it in the OOB driver. The SATA storage drivers are no problem so that works it the Nic that is driving me insane.

I have tryed older version of the driver too but with no luck. anyone out there no how to fix this pronblem

What version (and filename) of the Intel 82567 driver is getting used ?
[Versions from both Dell and Intel]

I have had issues with the Dell version, but the Intel downloaded version has worked (though it hasn't been tried with the optiplex 960)

ok this is Dell drivers

E1k5132.inf version 10.3.39.0, A01 XP
E1k6032.inf Version 10.3.39.250, A01 Vista

Intel

E1k5132.inf Date 11-20-2006
E1k6032.inf version 13.3

those are the ones i remember. I have tried them serpertly to make sure that they didn't conflict with each other

ok I figure it out. the vista driver 6032.inf works but even if you update the deployment point it will not load if you don't update your WDS boot image too

after that it works for me now. don't know why the WDS has to be updated its look at the same image but thats the problem
