Hi I have the same problem posted before in: http://www.myitforum.com/forums/m_146518/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#146518 "SMS Distribution Manager is starting to distribute package "Microsoft Updates Tool" to distribution point "["Display=\\ESSVPD0T2001\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=0T2"]\\ESSVPD0T2001\". The machine ESSVPD0T2001 does not longer exists. It has been renamed to ESSVPD0T2010. The same issue affects several servers that were renamed. However, the package reachs the proper server (ESSVPD0T2010), in stead of SMS tries to distribute the package to old servers. I've following the issues suggested in the previous post without success. I cannot do a Preinst /delsite becouse the current server is working fine. I ran the script SMSDPClean.vbs (I've changed the extension to .txt in order to upload it) so the DP does not appears in any package for distribution. I also checked the Central and Primary servers SQL DB looking for any entry for the server ESSVPD0T2001, but I cannot see any. My SQL level is very basic, so I'm afraid I'm not looking properly. So why SMS is trying to distribute package to a non existent DP? And where I must touch in order to correct that? Thank you all folks!
