This is a strange one for me.  I have site AD site A that has its own protected DP and AD site B with its own protected DP.  Site B's DP was recently replaced with a new server(still protected).  The boudaries for the DPs are the respective AD sites for each location.  The network team notified me today that several clients from site A are trying to connect to the old DP at site B.  I've checked the locationservices.log on several of the clients and they are indeed looking for the old DP even though in the same log it states they are members of AD site A.  When site B's old DP was replaced I did remove the DP role from it before retiring it.
Any ideas on a cause for this?
