Was hoping someone would know where to look to fix this problem. Every time I add a driver package to a distribution point the hard drives utilization goes to 100% and the processor utilization goes to 20%. This will not go down for about an 1 hour after I have deleted the driver package. I have tried recreating the entire server from scratch (Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2) and reinstalling SCCM 2007. It does not matter whether or not SCCM 2007 has been service packed to SP1. I have created various types of packages for testing this problem. All scenarios have the same result of high hard drive utilization. One with no drivers. One with 1 drivers. One with 2 drivers. One with many drivers. Just adding drivers to the distsibution point does not cause this. It is only when I create and add a driver package and then add it to a distribution point. The boot.wim file that is in my distribution point is the one that came with SCCM 2007. I have also tried adding the boot.wim file from my vista business sp1 dvd and get the same results.
