At MMS this year, I was sitting in an OSD session when the presenter (can't remember which session) showed a pre-release task sequence step for deploying drivers to Dell computers. The caveat that the presenter gave was that this would only be available for the new E series (which was released last week). This feature would enable you to simply use the downloaded driver package from Dell (the R12345.exe) file, and would in theory simplify the driver management process for Dell workstations.

Has anyone seen this feature/add on? Has it been released? What is it called? Where can it be found?

I realize that I can just import the drivers into SCCM's built in driver management node, and will do that if I can't locate this thing. I at least wanted to take a look at this and see if it makes sense to utilize it.

I was asking our Dell rep about this and he forwarded the question to his internal client technologist.
Here if the response that he forwarded back to me:
This functionality will only be available on the new Optiplex 960 that will launch later this year. We are planning to roll the functionality to more systems (Latitude/Precision/Optiplex) next year. I do not have access to the timeline.
