Hi,
 
I am running SCCM R2 SP2 and am trying to repair my PXE Service point.  The role removed successfully from Site Systems, but I can't get the role to reinstall.  Once I add the role back, I get this error in my pxeMSI.log:
 
MSI (s) (58!1C) [08:12:48:074]: Product: SMS PXE Service Point -- Error 25001. Setup failed due to unexpected circumstances
The error code is 80070020

The error code is 80070020
CustomAction CcmInstallWDS returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)
 
In my PXESetup.log is see this:

From what I can tell, errror 80070020 is "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."
 
I have tried reinstall wds and iis on the server and restarting wihout making any difference.
 
Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Did you remove WDS (completely) from the systems as well?
     
    If not do so, then reinstall WDS but DO NOT configure it. Then repush the PXE service points.

      I have tried this, and without configuring wds but it hasn't made any difference.  No matter what I do it produces the same error.

        Did you restart the servers?
         
        Remove PXE
        Remove WDS
        Restart
        Install WDS
        Install PXE

          Yes, thats the exact order I have tried.  I also made sure that there was no PXE temp files/folders in c:\windows\temp, and made sure that the RemoteInstall folder has been deleted.

            FYI
             
            Ended up going through PSS to get this sorted.  It ended up being a conflict between the Windows Installer and a Transaction Log on one of the SQL Database on the same box.  Using Process Monitor we managed to see 'Sharing Violation' on 3 services that led us to this conclusion.
