Sometimes I guess we just have to be patient, with SMS very patient. It has now gone pass that point, now it seems like it is "reading" all of the .job files before it will continue. There are currently 1536 jobs in the schedular.box. I guess I will have to wait again. I forgot to mention that we have recently installed SMS hotfix 950306. (In large SMS 2003 hierarchies that have many sites, site-to-site replication slows down) We currently have over 220 secondary attached to one primary sites, and most of them are connected over the way. As we are deploying a new application we sometimes have 5 - 7 packages to distribute in one evening. We are currently not making it as with the SMS replication and sites going offline takes over a couple of hours to distribute one 1 mb package to majority of the sites. We have picked up thet the bottleneck is at the scheduler. The sender seems to be idle waiting for the packages and the .job's, .srq's and the .srs pile up while it is sifting through. If we leave the server alone it eventually gets everything sorted out, so far around one day, just in time for the next packages and we then have to wait again. Any thoughts on speeding it up ;-)
