Does anyone know of an SMS 2003 frontend or script that I can use to launch the remote by supplying the username as an argument? For most of my users, finding their computername is apparently such a hard task that I simply go to the SMS web reporting and find it for them. It would be great if I had a script that would allow me to enter their username, and have it query SMS and launch the remote on the appropriate machine all in one step.

I'm sure that someone, somewhere, has already done this but these keywords are so general that Google isn't much help.

Ron's Console is what we use. With some customizations.

Kandace, this is great link, and as you said it does work..but in our case sometime a user is logged on to many manchines (rare cases) is it possible to alter the script to make it list the machines and slect from that list which machine to Remote to?

when i tested the script, it just find and ping the first found PC the user used, but not necessrly the latest Machine used by the user.

Any input is appreciated.

I'm sure it is possible but I'm a VB newb so I wouln't be able to do it. Best to leave that to someone smarter than me!
