Believe it or not, I didn't even had to justify anything.
My boss told me that no other collegue of mine wants to attend the conference. "I don't want to force you, but...." were his words. And it definitely costs a bit more coming from Europe than from some place in US. No arguing, no pleading, nothing.
Looking forward to see you all again after being absent for a couple of years.
