I' m having a strange issue, some of my clients (very few), are not updating their hardware inventory. Their Hardware Inventory is empty.
I see in the Resource Explorer that the Software Inventory is working correctly but the Hardware inventory is completely empty.
thanks for any help

Are these workstations sending bad inventories to the site server? What do the logs say on the clients?

Bringing back a thread from the dead...

I am seeing this issue on a few computers: no hardware inventory getting reported back, but software inventory is populated.

There is not entry in the parent server's dataldr.log for these computers, even after forcing an inventory.  InventoryAgent.log looks good.  No errors in ccmexec.log.  Anywhere else I should look?  Any thoughts one this?

Running SMS 2003 SP3.  Windows XP SP2 clients.

This is exactly what I was looking for.  Thanks.

However, I can't seem to find a MP_HINV.LOG in my SMS\LOGS directory.  After some quick research, I discovered it should be located in the SMS_CCM\LOGS folder.  I can't find this folder on my MP.  Any thoughts?
