Hi all, i have a site with about 600 clients and will be installing a secondary site. Does anyone have any guidance as to the minimum hardware spec i should use?

As its just a sec site i was going to use an Dell Optiplex GX755 DT E-Smart – Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33GHz with 2Gb RAM and install Server 03 onto it. Would this be sufficient?

Any help is appreciated

There's some info here; but we may need more information if that link isn't good enough. A secondary by itself doesn't need much; but if you are adding other roles to it (Proxy MP, DP...) it may need more. I'm not a person who designs for others, though--so you likely don't want to listen to me.

Rod Kruetzfeld's book has a good chapter on design.

Hi Skis, thanks for that.

Yea, i've actually had a look at that link already but it doesn't really give me any definitive answer!

The total roles that the secondary will have installed is a proxy MP, DP and a CAP. I'm quite sure that the spec will be fine for a DP and CAP the only thing i'm unsure about is whether its sufficient for a MP with 600 clients...
