Help about sizing hardware requirements of SCCM 2012

Hello, I would like to know what hardware configuration should i use for a network containing about 2500 client computers in an active directory domain composed of 35 active directory sites. Thanks in advance

Oh if it were only so simple. Here comes the typical response. Ready? "It depends." Because I think I could get one of Johan's super class laptops to manage 2500 clients if you're not doing more than occasional inventory and software updates. The more you pile on, the more hardware you'll need. Adding things to inventory, adding CIs, adding imaging, adding lots of apps, adding site servers to manage and monitor (like MPs, SUPs, DPs), etc., all add to the load you put on that primary site. If possible, try your standard VM and add better disk\more CPU as needed as you add to CM functions.

I mean there's no formula to calculate the needs?, based on what is published in Microsoft System Center web page, as example, they give the best config for a network containing 25000 clients... but us, we just have 2500.
