Hi,

I wonder how the computer association works in detail? When I import computers using a csv-file in correct format I can import pcs and add them immediately to a specified collection.
My question: How can I check which computers I have already imported? Is the only way to make a query where I also show the MAC-address? How do I change already imported computer-information? Just re-import it with another MAC?
I've tried to modify the All Systems query and added the MAC-address and it only shows up on computers which i imported.
Well, I'm asking beacuse I don't really want to make hundreds of test on my system without knowing what will happen. :)

thx

I haven't got console in front of me but from memory when you import the machine to the collection have a look at the properties - The discovery method is set to "manual" - rather than the normal AD or heartbeat discovery entry

Therefore you should be able to just query on those machines - once you've built the PC the discovery methods change as it now a fully managed PC

...and - won't you just have the list of imported machines in your build collection anyway ?? - if they have been built then they'll be assigned to the site and have a site code - the others won't so you could just filter you console view to see which machines you have left manually
