I have 2 batch files I need to add to an MSI.
The first batch file checks if the application is already installed. If it is already installed the installation is halted. If the app is not installed, installation continues. The last batch file runs after the install and sets security using CACLS commands.

How can incorporate these batch files/or the functions they perform into the MSI package?

add the .bat files via custom action - place in the correct sequence for the action required
