Hi,

One particular workstation generates a fatal error about twice a month regarding ccmexec.
In the system32\ccm directory two files are created, a mdmp-file and a mtxt-file.
The contents of the mtxt-file is something like this:

App Name = CcmExec.exe
App Version = 2.50.4253.3000
Module Name = ntdll.dll
Module Version = 5.1.2600.2180
Module Offset = 00064ed1

Is there a way to analyse why ccmexec is crashing? Nothing useful to find in Eventviewer or ccm\logs.

Already tried completely reinstalling SMS Client, but that didn't help.

I usually follow these steps to analyze crash dumps and they have worked well for me:

1. Download and install Debugging tools for Windows (from Microsoft - free download)
2. Open the crash dump file in WinDbg
3. Point WinDbg to microsoft's public Windows symbol server
4. If available, point WinDbg to the crashing application's symbol files and source code files (doesn't apply in this case)
5. Run the WinDbg command: !analyze -v
