I need some information about how ITMU v3 reboots a computer.  I have a collection of windows 2003 server that receive the security updates and perform an auto reboot.  However, there is one server that failed to restart after the patches were installed.  The event log and the PatchInstall.log both show that the computer was requested to restart.  It just did not do what it was asked.  Does someone know what method, program, or process is used by ITMU to initiate a reboot?

The ITMU program uses the following command parameters:   /q /c:1 /t:30 /m:"PatchAuthorize.XML"
The event log has the following entry:

The process CcmExec.exe has initiated the restart of computer AUSLYNCCP02 on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Operating System: Hot fix (Planned)
Reason Code: 0x80020011
Shutdown Type: restart
