ITMU v3 SMS 2003 SP3 MUT Sync issue

Maybe if I changed my name i wouldnt have so many issues ...

My ITMU cat sync is not working. I think it is a permissions issue on the share. This has never worked on this system. (current cab is from 11/07 when the system was setup). I tried manually running the sync using the following command:

E:\Program Files\Microsoft Updates Inventory Tool\PkgSource>syncxml.exe /s /unat
tend /site s1553p1 /code s20 /package s2000002 /target \\s1553p1\packagesrc

and this is the error it produces:

So I changed up the command and ran it like this:

E:\Program Files\Microsoft Updates Inventory Tool\PkgSource>syncxml.exe /s /unat
tend /site s1553p1 /code s20 /package s2000002 /target \\s1553p1\E$\packagesrc

which then produced this error:

I think it's a permission issue but i dont know what i'm missing.

What's inside your download.ini in your PkgSource file? That E$ shouldn't be there ever.

I am basically playing clean up here as I am not the one who originally configured this system. I took the E$ out of the source path in the MS Update Tool package and changed the .ini to reflect yours:

I went back and made the same change to the e:\program files\microsoft updates inventory tool\pkgsource download.ini file, reran the command above and everything is running smooth as silk. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
