Hello,

I'm looking for a way to capture 2 different partitions and and apply these images to a new machine.
The capture phase using imagex doesn't seem to be the problem, as long as it's done manually. When using WDS, the second partition T: won't be displayed because it's not syspreped.
Now when using imagex to apply the second partition which contains folders and files, it erros out. The partition doesn't seem to have the correct format.
Any idea how to accomplish this task to be able to create the 2 partitions C:\ and T:\?

Ingrid

Great question, I'd also like to know how to do this.  Iglatz, are you configuring a recovery partition for Vista?

Thanks,

O.C.

No, it's not meant as a recovery partition for Vista. The customer has the requirement that the machine is configured to have a C: and a T: partition because a special program relies on the T: drive letter and has a lot of data on this partition. We look for a way to be able to image such a machine with both partitions. Haven't really figured it out yet.
If I get to a solution, I'll let you know.

Ingrid

I am currently breaking my hard drive into 2 partitions on windows XP with BDD 2007...

Here is how I am doing it.

After all my applications are installed on the D: drive and after sysprep I capture the d: drive into a set location on C:

imagex /capture d: c:\temparea\d-drive.wim "D: Drive Capture"

Then during the Build process:

imagex.exe /apply c:\temparea\D-Drive.wim 1 D:\
