Installation Issue with SCOM 2007 - 10/7/2008 9:36:16 PM

Hello,

When i am trying to installed Operation Manager 2007 on windows 2003 server
with remote SQL database, i am receiving following errors and installation is
failing at that point.

do i need to put any kind of patch or update on windows server 2003 before
starting this install or what??

In Further investigation i found that there are some WMI ADAP issues. In the event viewer it is showing event viewer with event id 60. it is showing "WMI ADAP was unable to process the performance libraries: 0x80041001" issue and the dll file which is causing it is "Rolling back assembly 'D:\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.dll".

Hello,

the issue has been resolved. issue was with the performance counter library. so i did manually rebuild it with two commands.

cd %systemroot%/system32

lodctr /R

Which fixed the issues with shoing numbers in perfmon.msc instead of counter names. after resolving this issue, the setup ran successfully.
