i have a program that i cannot install with a script because of permissions and i can't run it from a distribution point because it will only install once from a directory. thus the reason i need to download it to all machines and then install it from there.

the problem is this... i need to run setup.exe /arguments but not at the root of the cache folder but actually in a subfolder like ...ccm\cache\package.system\install\setup.exe /argument

is there a variable i can use since the actual package name is different for every system? or do something entirely different?

Do the /arguments refer to files within the \install folder? If so, sometimes you will need to wrap the install in either a vbscript or a .bat. Otherwise you should be able to get away with (on the command line for the program): Install\setup.exe /arguments. The sms client will figure out the root folder--I've done that successfully many times.

worked like a charm.

i kept trying to do \install\setup.exe
