I'm trying to figure out the following in regards to deploying applications and looking for some assistance.

We advertise the application and configure it as follows:

1) Assign immediately after this event: Logon
2) Always rerun program
3) Download content from distribution point and run locally
4) When a client is connected within a slow or unreliable network boundary: Download content from distribution point and run locally
5) Allow clients to fall back to unprotected distribution points....

Here is our results on two test machines (both have the most recent ConfigMgr client):

Test Machine # 1:
We log onto our first test machine (on the network) and see that the application is downloaded and cached.

We log off and then we log back onto the machine (on the network) and see that the application installed successfully.

Test Machine # 2:
We log onto our second test machine (on the network) and see that the application is downloaded and cached.

We log off, unplug the network cable, and then we log back onto the second test machine (off the network) and see that the application does not install. Checking the log files shows that there was no attempt to even install the application.

Then, we put the second test machine back on the network and see that the application still does not install -- even after logging on while connected to the network. Checking the log files shows that there was no attempt to even install the application.

Odd. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for assisting.
