MS12-062 - Verify that you don't need the update!

FYI - I am still looking into what is going on with this but: When I run the Security Update installation it says that the update is not needed for the version that I am running but when I look at the ReportingInstall.exe file I am running an older version than what is included in the security update. My Version of ReportingInstall.exe is 4.0.6487.2000 the new one appears that it should be 4.0.6487.2209 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2721642 The version of my SCCM Sites is currently at 4.00.6487.2200. There may be an issue with the installation detecting what versions require the update (Since I am now fully patched with all the hotfixes - Just has SCCM Health Check with MS). Should I just extract the file from the update and overright the existing file and then do a Site refresh to get around the installation issue? I believe this should work in theory. If you are getting a message that the update is not needed for your version of SCCM, you may want to verify the file version. Shane Krummen
