As most of you know, if a drive on a distribution point becomes limited on disk space, it will create a new folder on another drive (if available) to uncompress the contents of new packages received. For example, say you have a 40 GB partition on drive C: and another 40 GB partition on drive D:, and your package source directory (SMSPKGC$) currently resides on the C: drive. If your C: drive becomes very low on disk space, SMS will create a new SMSPKGD$ directory on the D: drive to accommodate subsequent packages. Well, my question is this - is there a way (registry setting maybe?) to prevent this behavior? I would like to keep SMS from creating another package directory. Anyone know of a way to accomplish this?
