Hi all,

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but about 2 months ago I decommissioned (sp?) a secondary site SMS server when we upgraded to SCCM. I used the setup to uninstall the site and (not sure which method, but) everything went smoothly, and the new secondary site came up (SCCM) and all is working well.

The problem, or moreso, annoyance is that in the Site System Status the old secondary site server still shows up with the warnings it had when it was taken offline. Is there anyway to get rid of these messages? It doesn't appear anywhere else in my heirarchy, address, site systems, etc...only in the site system status.

Thanks!

-Pete

did you try running preinst /deljob (secondarysitecode)
on the parent site this will delete any jobs trying to get here
also, preinst /deletesite (secondarysitecode)(parentsite)   this should delete any other data about the site in the DB.
You also need to go into AD and clean out the secondary site information from the systems management container if it wasn't removed

You can also check to see if the sender log on the parent site is still trying to send data to the secondary site.

ARGH! still no good....

Since the site name is still the same, I would have to completely remove and reinstall the site from scratch. not a big deal, because it's a secondary site, only a 40 or so person office. so I ran the preinst /deljobs and /delsite commands, and completely removed the site from the database, or so i thought. it stopped showing up in the configmgr console, the addresses were removed, and AD no longer showed anything to do with the site.

I then uninstalled SCCM from the server, and reinstalled it. an hour later everything's back up and humming along, and yet the old OLD server is still showing up in the status! Am I missing something here? (I've refreshed all nodes and re-connected to the site database as well).
