Hi,
I am doing a brand new install of Operations Manager 2007 SP1 on the following
OS:
Windows 2003 R2 x64
SQL 2005 SP2 x64

So please note this is on a 64 bit environment.

Anyway the installs works however the problem happens
when I try to connect from a remote console running on
Windows XP. I can get into the normal admin console
OK.  However, when I try to access the reporting node
I get the following error:

"System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable."

Full text of error:

Application: System Center Operations Manager 2007
Application Version: 6.0.6278.0

The user is an Operations Manager Administrator.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I know this may be a silly answer, but have you tried rebooting the Database server?  I had the exact same problem and rebooting fixed it for me.
